Behind the project
About us
Bike People is the shared archive and hobby project of Thomas Fischer (Tom) and Karin Eder from Lucerne. It bridges MTB heritage since 1992 with expedition storytelling and today's digital perspective with AI and Route Sniper.
We ran Bike People MTB Tours for many years as a weekend project alongside our day jobs—out of interest and enjoyment, not as a commercial venture.
These days we focus more on travel, training, leisure, and the occasional long-distance event. It used to be almost exclusively mountain bikes, and we regularly took part in MTB marathons; now it is mostly road and gravel.
Professionally we work in IT and HR.
Karin's work involves several kinds of professional coaching (organisational and people-focused, not sports coaching specifically). Tom's role has a strong AI component. That carries over: we both explore AI-assisted tools deeply in training as well.
